Letterbase started off as an experiment—would businesses be willing to use a simpler, more privacy-friendly way to talk to their customers?
Over time, I realized that maintaining and developing features for two separate codebases, as well as doing B2B marketing and sales, was too much work for a solo founder to handle.
I think it's unfair for my customers to continue paying for a product that isn't getting active development. If you were a paying customer, your subscription has been cancelled and you've been refunded for the remainder of the billing period.
I realize this is inconvenient for you, and it's not the outcome either of us wanted, so I apologize for that. But I'm really grateful for you to have joined me on this journey.
I don't think my initial hypothesis has been rejected yet. I still believe there is room for a better, more privacy-friendly way to talk to your customers. If you're interested in this space, I encourage you to carry the torch forward.
If you'd like to stay up-to-date with the stuff I'm working on now, feel free to follow me on Twitter.
Thanks for reading. Wishing you all the best ✌
